Waiting…

It’s an art—a license of being a child. It’s not hard. It’s actually quite easy. It is the most simple of things. The lie is in the groaning—as if there was something required of you except to wait. When you submit to it, really give into it, it’s like entering the easiest of lazy rivers. Going with the flow is all you ever wanted. Cheers to a year of going with the flow.

We live by every word from our Father in heaven and nothing more. If you find yourself “bored,” don’t worry— you’re actually waiting. You were made to wait. You were made to watch. Don’t forget the beauty in the simplicity of this life.

Don’t fret suffering. Don’t give into inaccurate illusions of suffering when the pain of waiting for the desired hope is all it is. Really, just wait. Give in to the movement of the Holy Spirit to stay put. You were made for this. Enjoy.

We are all waiting on something. Did this poem bring up anything new for you? If you feel led, ask the Holy Spirit to give you an idea that will “soften the blow”of the wait.

Psalm 130:5 (ESV)

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope…
