Compost

Compost

What a wonder–

The “waste” of life

So useful

So nice

You might not see it

At first

But after about a year

You’ll realize

(If you put it in the

Right place)

It’ll rot

Just right

You didn’t barely have

To do anything

At all

Just wait.

And let things die.

And then the glory

Of what’s created–

A space

For something new to grow

A plot

For a new plot

The old

Unrecognizable

–Forgot–

There might have been

better

faster

more efficient

scientific

ways

For sure

With worms

Or grinding the shells

Or leaving out

this

or that

*Special containers*

For all our

*Special waste*

But nature ran

Its course

It’s over and done

There’s now a new start

Don’t fool yourself

Being a “compost expert”

(If you are)

A youtube

DIY

Finatic

Although that’s nice,

No matter how

Masterful your process

You didn’t bring this about

I just left mine out

In a box outside

And it worked just fine

A new beginning

From above

Was brought

So let’s not detest

The “waste”

And don’t get too

discouraged

or disgusted

At the naturalness

Of it all

Because God

Is trying to make

Something new

Down here

So don’t

worry

fret

or judge

or become a compost expert,

(If you don’t want)

It’s just a matter of time

Until He makes

A new creation

With all the “waste”

Of our lives.
